Performance Analysis of OTC and Improved PSO MPPT Techniques for DFIG-Based Wind Energy Conversion Systems

With the increase in energy power requirement and reduction availability of conventional fuel resources, practice generating electrical using renewable resources has gained importance. Wind is considered a significant resource commercially used for electricity generation. velocity varies continuously, hence, output wind generator varies. As result, turbine develops not at corresponding maximum value. Hence, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) controller designed turbine, enabling it to derive possible all speeds. In this paper, comparative analysis Optimal Torque (OT) improved Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) MPPT techniques Doubly-Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) obtained. The Simulink model DFIG first obtained, system’s without examined. Conventional OT then implemented. Secondly, an PSO technique proposed, extracting better quality that exhibits dynamics gives more power. results both methods are compared tabulated.
